*This book was given to me by the author in exchange for an honest review* Lexi has always been a good girl. She always obeys the rules, always listens to her super strict parents who homeschooled her until college, where she is a senior now, and never does anything extreme with her fiancé Collin. She has known Collin since she was 13 and the most they do is hold hands and have a quick kiss. Lexi and Collin are still virgins and Lexi always knew that she would be until her wedding night, but sometimes she wants a little more affection from Collin. One day she is set to tutor the star quarterback Raven Davenport. He seems like a nice guy but on their first tutoring session Raven starts sexting with someone so Lexi doesn’t think he’s taking his work seriously, and that he is just a player. After their first session Raven apologizes and Lexi reluctantly agrees to keep helping him. The more she helps, the more she realizes that he is smart, he just needs a little help focusing. She also she realizes that she is slowly becoming attracted to him. She still deeply cares for Collin but is starting to second guess if she’s marrying him for love or marrying him because it’s what is expected of her. I did enjoy this story, however towards the end it was a little predictable. I did appreciate that she stuck to her values and even though she is becoming attracted to this other guy, she isn’t going to just throw her morals out the window and do things she may regret. I also liked how she stuck up for herself at the end. Knowing deep down what the right thing to do was and even though her parents may be disappointed in her, she still stuck to it and make her opinions known. ***Review has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official. This is a very sweet, well written, young adult romance. This is a book that I would recommend for an older high school student, into college. It takes me back to when I was younger. I usually read more risque books, this was a nice change of pace. I most certainly got caught up in the Raven Trap as I immediately went to Book 2, usually I write a review first then will start a 2nd book. I one clicked book 2 so fast. I am well into that book and will finish out the series as I don't like to leave things undone. I do hope to learn more about Luke and his story soon.

I read her other books and enjoyed them but this book shocked me at how good it is. Her other books shy away from sex and even though this book is not the least bit pornograhic or smutty, it nevertheless is not afraid to step right up to the line. The characters in all of her books are well developed but even more so in Oposing Sides. Great book that I would recommend to anyone and if you happen to be a hometown Fort Worth boy and/or a diehard Frog fan like myself, then you will enjoy it even more. I am looking forward to the second book and I hope this author continues to write more like this!

Opposing Sides By: CM Doporto Lexi and Collins life are pretty well planned out by their parents. They have dated for years. Lexi is having second thoughts does he really love her. He really shows no signs of affection unless you consider a peck on her forehead or cheek. Lexi feels like their is more out there to love then just this. Especially after she meets football player Raven Davenport. All the girls seem to throw there selves at him. They are bought together through a job. Can her relationship with Collin stand hold? Is this what she wants? Do they really love one another? Or will Raven come into the picture? I read this book in one setting, couldn't put it down wanted to see what was going to happen. CM Doporto writing will keep your attention.

The first book I read by Doporto was a Sci-fi book, The Eslites. Loved it. I heard she had written another book in a different genre so I decided to check it out. WOW. Just. Wow. If you haven't checked out Opposing Sides, I highly recommend it. It's different than her other series, almost to the point where I was like "This IS Doporto, right?" but it was no less awesome. The writing was completely different and the topics were different. I loved it! Doporto proves that she is a well-rounded author and can write in any genre. This book is the first in a series and I'm really eager to get to know these characters. This book is about Lexi, a college student, trying to find who she is and what she wants in a relationship after meeting Raven, the college football quarterback. Sigh. I'm crushing on Raven. Just saying. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because Lexi sometimes got on my nerves, but overall, I truly did enjoy this book and cannot wait until book 2.

I have yet to find a book by this author that I didn't like. Everything coming from her mind is awesome. I'm so glad I got to read this book. Fabulous from start to finish. I will be a life long fan of C. M. DOPORTO.

I've read a few of this author's books before, and I always enjoy the story-lines. The characters are relatable, humorous, and fun to read about.  Lexi Thompson is a sheltered girl who does whatever her parents want her too. She's the perfect daughter and the perfect girlfriend...too bad it's all an act. Lexi wants to break out of this image everyone has for her and live her own life. She feels as if her life isn't hers anymore and even worse? She's not so sure if her lifetime boyfriend really loves her, or is going to marry her because he cares for her. There's no romance, no chemistry. He doesn't make her feel alive, not like Raven Davenport does. Raven is a football star, but isn't doing that hot in school. Enter Lexi, his new tutor, and his life starts to get complicated. He used to be a player. Going from one girl to the next, but Lexi makes him want more. Can these two damaged people find love with each other? A very good book. I love the romance and chemistry between Raven and Lexi, but wished Lexi figured out what she wanted sooner, but other than that, this book was great. I especially loved the ending. I usually don't like cliffhangers, but I liked this one!

I sat down at 11 am to read this story and then I looked up and its 12:30 and I was almost done! I love when a book is so captivating that the real world slips away. You are so drawn into the story and the characters that you are IN THEIR WORLD. Lexi is a very sheltered girl, Raven is her complete opposite, Colin is her fiance lol. Colin... I worry about him and whats going on at home, i really hope his gets a HEA. Luke and Delaney are awesome and I really hope we get more of each of them! Lexi and Raven are just getting started and I cant wait to see where life takes them. Not one character was weak, they are all main characters, each vies for your attention and makes you want more of them. The plot is interesting and a great combination of innocence and lust.  A fantastic read all around.

A must read. I received the book as a gift for an honest review. I have read all of C.M. Doportos books and loved them all. She is an amazing sci-fi writer. But gives us a twist with her new book Opposing Sides with no sci-fi in the book.I was shocked when I realized it, saying to my self is this really her and of course she did an amazing job. Lexi struggles through her life during her senior year of college, from her parents running her life, to her boyfriend of four years not showing any affection towards her. They were both raised to have no sexual contact until marriage but Lexi wants more. She cares deeply for her fiance Collin but doesn't know if its true love or an expectation of everyone around her. On top of everything She then gets thrown into tutoring the star quaterback Raven Davenport. The sexy hot football player that his smile, scent, and touch makes her warm in all the right ways and Unexpected feelings arise. Can she control her feelings for Raven and get Collin to make her feel that way? I want to say so much more about the story but I don't want to spoil the book.I am afraid I already said to much. This book is definitely a must read.

I LOVED this story. Lexi was so real to me, with real problems, thoughts, and conflicting emotions. She's innocent, even though she's engaged to her friend, Collin. She longs for more than that, though, and when she meets sexy football player Raven, her eyes and lust are awakened in a different way. Reading this made me cry, laugh, and hope for the best with Lexi. I feel like she grows during the story, and I can't wait to read about Delaney soon!
