Using the same thing for more than one purpose is something that I like to do. In OPTIONS: CROCHET, Ms Leapman has done just that. One pattern ¿ two different looks. Just by changing the type of yarn used, she was able to create a completely different look to the same pattern. Imagine making an elegant top for evening and using the same pattern but different yarn to jazz it up and make it great to pair with jeans. There are six patterns for vests, hats, two types of jackets, scarves and a sweater. Each pattern has a difficulty level listed. The brand name of the yarn used is listed in the supply section and as with all crochet patterns, a gauge is given. If a graphic helps describe what is going on in the pattern, it is shown. The last three pages of the book contain general instructions such as abbreviations used in the patterns, a conversion chart from United states hooks to Metric hooks and explanations of what things like ¿back loop only¿ mean. OPTIONS: CROCHET gives you double your monies worth in one book.
