My teenage daughter became interested in learning more about the Opus Dei after seeing the movie Angels and Demons. We saw this book in the store and was very impressed by the colorful and abundant photos, the quality of the pages and the size of the book (actual book size not the number of pages). This book was very enlightening and interesting. The research put into this must have been very grueling. We had never heard of the Opus Dei and now are very surprised about the influence they had over history. I would recommend this book to any fan of Dan Brown's novels and movies and any history buff. We found this by accident and I am very pleased with the purchase and plan to keep the book.

An interesting read on the power of self conviction. This reader does speculate on who the "secret" members are. What concerns this reader is that the Opus Dei organization is just one of a multitude of such organization worldwide. The power of self righteous certainty is an absolute evil. From the heartland of the USA to the warptness of the Middle East and continuing around the planet a sense that the primitive is alive and very politically real does not forebode well for the humans of this third rock from Sol.
