I will be posting a more detailed review but wanted to make sure no one passes this up! It didnt have one second of down time, always fast paced till the end. Only a very few and only a most talented writer could do that! I agree that it feels as if it begins well into the story but the author clearly intended the reader to invest themselves so that they could fully engage and appreciate the characters! Kudos to the 10th power!

Absolutely Fantastic Storytelling!! I happened upon this book strictly by chance, as I was at work bored one day and this book for was free, so I figured, "Why not?" I was, and still am after reading all three books in the Trilogy, BLOWN AWAY!! As an avid fan of RA Salvatore, and Stephen King, this was not my usual interest. I have literally cried, laughed, felt fear, worry, and much relief while reading this book. The characters become apart of you, and the history and backgrounds of not only the characters but their world is so fascinating, you can't help but lose yourself in the story. I actually found myself thinking about the story-line while working or driving, etc. To RB Holbrook, if you never write another story, you have still accomplished a fantastical triumphant in my eyes. That being said, I would love to read more, both about these characters and any others you may wish to share with us. Thank you, for your lovely story. Thank you.

It jumps around alot so it gets confusing but after getting to know the characters it starts to make sense and can be enjoyed.

This is just a great, well written series. Detailed, but not overly so. Deep with meaning, but understandable for even young adults. You will be drawn into their world. Filled with action; yet lacking mass amounts of guts and gore. Tastefully done love scenes balance with the action, drama, and suspense. Keeps you on your toes until the very end! I'm getting the next one right now!

After 100 pages I am still floundering with who is who and what is what. Nothing is making any sense and I have lost interest.... So sad.
