Overview

Religion was transformed into Relationship for the author following an encounter with God in 1977. The Bible, no longer a dusty book on the shelf, became the Living Word of God to her and God's tool in transforming her life. From the beginning she felt inspired to write things down - jottings, notes on Bible verses, and testimonies to the amazing work of God in her life and the lives of others. She had a dream - one day she would write a book. This book is the fulfilment of that dream, maybe just a beginning. Her motive in telling her story of what God has done is first to give Him all the Glory, but also to give away what she has received, that others too may be blessed, forgiven, healed and transformed by the same Living God, through His Son Jesus Christ.

    Warning: this book is live!

The author says that her book is made up of personal testimonies about the Mighty works of God. To quote her: "I pray each story.each chapter.may be like the small drip on a big lake, but the accumulative effect is the spreading of the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ further and further afield." I am sure this will happen, for her words describe exactly what her book has done for me. As I read through it my heart was touched by the deep faith and love that comes from this woman's heart, as each story unfolds, showing how in our everyday walk in life, prosaic and ordinary though it may seem, God can touch us if only we believe . if we can just get to that point where we accept that an extraordinary God is at hand with the power to change one's life, healing merely with His touch (the "finger of God", as we see in the opening chapter), and turning one's life around, when He calls upon one to respond with the words, "Go, I am sending you!" This book should come with a warning. The warning is implicit in the title - if you read this, you might be caught unaware, thinking it's just another ordinary book by an ordinary woman. But be careful - you may find yourself touched by the finger of this woman's extraordinary God! I remember, once, making a few adjustments inside a very ordinary looking radiogram, the ones that used to work with valves. But I forgot it was still plugged into the mains. Inadvertently a live wire, I suppose, touched my hand, and.it threw me across the room! I sat there, for a while, dazed, wondering what had hit me. So here's the warning-take care, this ordinary looking book is connected to the Mains. After I read it I knew this power, and. wow! I wouldn't be without it now. It has marked a turning point in my life.
