    Wonderful Book

This book is extremely helpful. I'm using it to review O Chem I over the summer, before I take O Chem II. It concisely sums up the most important concepts and gives helpful tricks to learning the material. It clarified many topics that otherwise overwhelmed me when trying to read hundreds of pages in my textbook.

    Chemical Penmanship or Drafting

This is an outstanding book. It is well suited as a complement to any Organic Chemistry textbook. It covers the basics with various "tricks" or memory aids including some very simple but well thought out analogies.

I call it "chemical penmanship" or "drafting" because Klein spends a lot of time showing EXACTLY how to draw all the different diagrams and relationships that build on one another and make reactions EASY (OK, easier). All the exercises are very much like the penmanship practice we all did in grade school. For example, he illustrates stroke by stroke how to PROPERLY draw the two chair configurations of a ring and how to properly include the substituents. It's very clear what is going on with something so important, but often glossed over.

It really fills a valuable niche that makes orgo SO much easier to understand and retain. It doesn't replace a textbook, but it doesn't intend to. Wonderful book. Perfectly implemented in nook study.

    Easy to understand

I had to take organic and it had been 10+ years since I took inorganic. This book helped me so much, I cannot express how glad I am to have purchased this.
