    Great for adult beginners!

This book is well written and fun to use. I am a beginning origamist, and wanted a book that worked me through the basics, but didn't treat me like a child. This book was perfect. Mr. Robinson starts simple, but by the end, he'll have you folding like a pro. Well, OK, not like a pro, but he does have you doing some fairly complex models. In addition, his sense of humor is very entertaining. I highly recommend this one!

    I Also Recommend:

Good solid overview of origami written with humor

Nick Robinson has been a solid contributor to the world of origami for many years. This book has something to satisfy anyone from the beginner to a more advanced folder. Even if you know most of what is in the book it is a good refresher that is packed with humor. The models are diagrammed fairly clear. Some room for improvement here. I especially enjoyed the Aladdin model that has a small turban coiffed figure on a flying carpet, all from a single uncut square! I made it and it actually flies pretty well.

Well organized. Clearly laid out. Consistent with the offerings in the "DUMMIES" series. I would recommend it to a serious beginner or intermediate. The very reasonable price would make it a worthwhile addition to any origamist's library.
