I am totally impressed with this textbook. The order of the book allows ease of finding specific information. It is very informative while being very easy to read. The information is very interesting and gives an excellent breakdown of language forms and functions. I am very glad that I purchased this textbook as it is the perfect source for my linguistics class, The History of the English Language! Our instructor gave us the option of buying any of several titles but this has to be the best of those titles.
