"Well, so be it."
Mother went upstairs, sat on the windowsill, and let herself fall to the ground. She got the wind knocked out of her, but was still all in one piece. She came into the house laughing, "I guess when I'm pregnant I'm pregant clear up to my neck. I'm as pregnant now as when I jumped out the window. I don't know how we are going to feed this baby, but we're going to have to find a way."
I was born on a Saturday, May 6, 1926. It was misting outside. All my life I've been shedding tears.

Thanks to those of you who has shared their stories of my grandmother. I am greatful. I am the granddaughter that was mentioned in the book. I was happy to read that I gave my grandmother a momment of happiness. I believe that she is with God now. I pray that one day I can tell my story...Was this review helpful?
