For a practical resource in the practice of prayer, I find this book to be excellent. This book is clearly drawn from a life of experience, articulated in accessible words for those of us who are only beginning to take up the yoke of prayer.
I first borrowed this book from a local library. Then, after renewing it several times, figured I should buy it. A book to be chewed upon one bite at a time.
Although written from an Orthodox perspective, it should prove equally valuable to those of other Christian traditions.
