    Larka's Story

A pretty white she-lion pads in softly alnd quickly glances around. She is friendless, mateless, cubless, and her past constantly looms over her like a shadow yet to be forgotten. If there was such thing as an omega in prides, Larka would fullfill the position. But long ago, when she was younger, she was an overjoyfull cub like any other lion. She had one sister named Eskal and her mother was called Fallen. She never knew her father. Then, her mother was killed by an unkown force, and Eskal left her to find a mate and start a new life. Larka lived alone for many seasons, and one day she had a dream she was being swept away with a river of her memories. She met her father, Shadow, who stole her mother's spirit and kept her captive because she refused to let him go near her cubs after rumors of the male stealing cubs and eating them. Shadow lay a curse on Larka, and she learned what had happened. After she awoke from her dreams, Larka lived alone for quite a while longer to think out her past and set her future. Then she began traveling around and looking for more clues about her past, when she stumbled apon the pride. Larka lives here to this day, while her horrid dreams echo through her mind. You are lucky to have heard her story, because it will probably never be said again. Now you better understand why Larka always seems sad and distant.
