“Oscar: A Cat’s Tale,” is a delightful children’s book that children
love. It truly is a tale of love, rescue, and everyday life that
captures the story of how love can and will win out over fear. The wild
life of Oscar before he responds is very realistic and pictures the fact
that love is a necessary part of life that makes life meaningful. The
love and innocence of the little girl is well portrayed as she
patiently brings Oscar to the place where he can trust her. Sharing her
food with the cat is so touching and shows the natural result of love
well placed. It is evident that she has learned that kind of love from
her mother who is concerned about her throughout the story. This is the
kind of story that should be used in every classroom. The story is not
only one tht children can enjoy as they learn from it the importance of
giving and receiving, but the story can also show the children the
importance of being thankful for what they have to share.
