Overview

When life seems to be full of doubt and uncertainty we tend to look for a source of inspiration: what will happen in the future? What about my health, the children? What will happen if I make this decision and not that one? This is how the traditional tarot is often used, to satisfy a longing to know about the past and future. This Osho Zen Tarot focuses instead on gaining an understanding of the here and now. It is a system based on the wisdom of Zen, a wisdom that says events in the outer world simply reflect in the outer world simply reflect our own thoughts and feelings, even though we ourselves might be unclear about what those thoughts and feelings are. So it helps us to turn our attention away from outside events so we can find a new clarity of understanding in our innermost hearts. The conditions and states of mind portrayed by the contemporary images on the cards are all shown as being essentially transitional and transformative. The text in the accompanying book helps to interpret and understand the images in the simple, straightforward and down to earth language of Zen.

I have been using these cards to do readings on family and friends for a couple of years. My favorite layout is The Key. Those who receive a reading are always so amazed at what is there. They feel that I have done something not knowing it came from them. I do not know what is within them, I just read the cards. When I need clarity I do a reading on myself and I too am amazed what comes forth. I love the energy I feel when doing these readings. I love Osho.

What really pulled me into Osho's cards is the amazing illustrations. I had never seen a deck that had such vibrant, inspiring pictures as this one, and so I bought it. I find that i will even just sit down with them to gaze at the artistry and take it all in.

This deck is excellent if you're not looking for a run of the muck Tarot Reading. This deck tells you what is in the now. Incredible for spiritual seekers. It tells you what your problems are, and how to fix them. This deck is not for those who are just seeking a 'money/love' kind of reading!

Excellent deck! Booklet is VERY informative for each individual card, but the cards by themselves are easily intuited by their illustrations. You KNOW what the cards mean by looking at them and feeling it inside you. But the book DOES give DEEP introspection into the "actual" meaning of the illustrations, their symbology, card meaning itself, etc. Also, with the exception of the extra "The Master" card, this deck can be used as a RWS deck. What I mean is, each card of this deck corresponds to your "typical" 78-card tarot deck, and the booklet explains which cards are of what suit/arcana/etc. All tools are merely that -- TOOLS -- and it is the user which unlocks the power, the power of which is contained within the user. That said, this deck is a very potent and wonderful tool for ALL "experience levels" of tarot users.

I first borrowed the set from a friend a few years back. I have since acquired the set, and they are still eerily accurate about my own feelings, and when I do readings on other people. I did a reading on my (now) boyfriend, and originally, he was a little skeptical. By the time I finished the reading (your regular Celtic Cross spread), I had him in tears. I'm only a beginner, as far as Tarot and magic arts go, but these are my favorite cards, chosen for their beauty (I'm also an artist) as well as their accuracy.

I purchased this for my daughter for a Christmas present and when she looked at it there were missing pages 39-56 and duplicate pages 105-122.
you would think no problem Barnes and Noble will let me return it for another. Not so, they pretty much said tough it was after 14 days. I ordered more than 14 days before Christmas. A book like this is worthless and so is the company who would take money with no care for there customer.
It's not a hard cover either. I'll never, ever buy another thing from Barnes and Noble and I would really think twice before you do.
