    A must read if you've been there...

    I read this book well over a year ago. It is essential if you've "been there", either as the other woman or the victim of the other woman. Each vignette is a summary of events and feelings. I saw myself in several...I am the other woman. I saw in the pages the justification for how the wife/significant other is the way she is, and then the series of events leading to the involvement of her man with the other woman. I'm not justifying what the other women in this book did or the havoc they cause, but it's an eye-opening summation of the individual outcomes. Funny, the story that most captured my feelings and what I had gone through when I was caught offguard by an old (single) lover and dumped was the story of two lesbians. The feelings expressed by the injured lover were so singularly close to my own that I felt so sorry for her, felt her pain and yet knew that she would rally. Other couples in this book are easy to read too....sorry ladies, at times you left yourself wide open for some of the hurt and anger that your man caused you - don't blame the other woman for being more of what the man wanted. I, too, know what men want, and relate on many planes. Read this book and find yourself, maybe, or find someone you know, maybe, but don't always blame the Other Woman!
