As one early reviewer noted, Otis is a farm tractor with a big heart. He's also very playful. In his latest outing, he and barnyard friends participate in an entertaining game of hide-and-seek. At first, all seems to go well, perhaps a bit too well because one little puppy, the latest addition to the menagerie, simply can't be found at all. As time passes and night falls, Otis goes in search of his frightened friend. Needless to say, his search ends happily. (P.S. The credits for author/artist Loren Long include Drummer Boy and Otis & The Tornado, but she is perhaps best known for her illustrator for Barack Obama's Of Thee I Sing!)

Otis and his farm friends love to play hide-and-seek, but when the newest addition to the farm—a bounding puppy who can't sit still and has a habit of licking faces—tries to hide one day, he finds his attention wandering along with his legs, and soon he is lost in the forest.
