Award-winning photographer David Muench captures the well-visited park icons that millions of Americans love and cherish as well as the lesser-known and seldom seen wilderness areas of the park-the untouched gems where few traveler's venture. Ruth Rudner's moving essay coupled with Muench's visual celebration of these great lands, brings to life everything from the Great Smokies to the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, to Bryce Canyon and hundreds of other unique images.

I must say that I am so glad that I purchased 'Our National Parks' for my husband as a Fathers Day gift, he fell in love with this book as does everyone who sees it. We were fortunate enough to visit several of the National Parks this summer and thanks to this book, we went to Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado and fell in love as this was our favorite. It was such a awsome experience to stand in awe at the beautiful coutry that God created and to see such things as Old Faithful in all her glory and to see buffalo close enough that you could reach out and touch them. So once again I must tell you that 'Our National Parks' is a book that should be in every home in America. I fell in love with 'Our National Parks' from the moment that I picked it up and opened the cover and I know that if you get the chance it to will become one of your favorites.

There is no other word that can describe this book or it's title, this is one book that I will definately be purchasing. I fell in love with the pictures, and while I know that no matter how beautiful they are, until you've stood on the rim of the Grand Canyon or cruised the inter costal water way of Alaska, you have no ideal what a treat you are in for, so for those of you that may never have the chance to travel to such places, 'Our National Parks' will give you a first hand look at the beauty that is to be found in America. I checked this book out from my local library and immediately knew that it was one that I wanted to own. Thank You David Muench for such an inspiring book and to Ruth Rudner 'Thank You.'
