I recently adopted an eight year old child and was overwhelmed by her acting out every minute of every day. This book was amazingly accurate and helpful. I felt a sense of relief after reading it, knowing my child was behaving normally for what she has been experiencing. This book also contains very practical advise for dealing with negative behaviors (something I did not find very much of in other books). I would highly recommend reading this at any stage of the adoption process or down the road if you are still experiencing problems.
