1400 pages for book 1. Everyone wants to write epic tales but not all stories need to be drug out over multiple books. This tale just doesn't have the makings for "epic". The first third of this book was really bogged down trying to cram in a whole lot of stuff -- much of it made no sense. A lot of editing and a fewer plotlines would greatly improve this book.

The author is obviously trying to impress someone with his vocabulary. In doing so this book is so cumbersome to read, it sucks any enjoyment completely out of reading.

The book is more than 1400 pages. It was initially difficult to get through the first couple chapters, the Author writes in such a way that it's a difficult read, almost as if the Author is talking down to you.But I am glad I hung in there and kept reading. A very involved and rather interesting SYFI Fantasy. I wish the characters were more developed, but I still enjoyed it and recommend it. Thank you Author.
