I received this book from Author Selene Chardou and Paranormal Romance and Authors who Rock.
Trista is one of those teenagers who is smart and also a bad girl. She never hung out with people her own age and concentrated on her studies so she could get into an Ivy League college. At 18 she was sleeping with one of the bad boys of her brothers motor cycle club, hanging out there for the parties and just being a wild teenager, but it wouldn’t last for long. She was accepted to Stanford and was looking forward to attending. Her whole family was excited for her, and she couldn’t wait to get out of small town Pine Bluff. As she was all packed and ready to leave the Sheriff knocked on her family’s front door in the wee hours of the morning. Strange no one was home yet from one of her older brother’s engagement dinners with the parents. Her parents were dead along with one of her older brothers and the other, the bad boy biker, came to her rescue and silenced her cries. No way was so going to Stanford now. Everyone thought, could this be a biker gang rivalry, was it sabotage? Trista was whisked away to LA to live with her Rock Star cousin Talia, where she met her crush Linx. What will happen next?
This book is part of The Love Duet series By Selene Chardou.
I truly loved this book because it seemed to associate with real life drama, the truths about gangs, heart break, and that romance only people with broken hearts can experience. I was intrigued in how certain biker gangs only accepted certain nationalities and there were white supremacy bikers. It’s amazing how even now there are “clubs” who focus on pure heritage and race. My favorite character is Trista. She is an old soul who is wise for her age and very smart. She is not afraid to tell people how it is, stand up for herself, and act older then she really is. My favorite part was the ending because everything finally made sense and I wasn’t wondering what was really going on anymore.
I did not like how it went from character view to narrative. It drove me nuts because I could really get involved with the characters when it went from them talking to a person narrating the next part. There were several grammar mistakes that I correcting in my head while reading.
This book is defiantly for NA and adult readers who are interested in bikers, romance, gangs, crime, Vegas, and rock bands. This was defiantly a Drama romance with hints of young adults and adults.

Tattoos, bikes, & rock gods! What more can a girl ask for?
This was definitely an intriguing read. Chardou develops her storyline with many twists and turns, always keeping her readers on their toes. The world that this author has created is very vivid. You are immersed in many aspects of our world that you wouldn’t necessarily encounter in your daily life. Also, the cliffhanger that she leaves off with makes it next to impossible not to want to continue on this journey with her characters.
Chardou ensures that you’re very well introduced to the main characters, but does so in a very entertaining manner. The author makes it easy to see the differences between the two main characters while switching perspectives between the two. You can really feel their emotions and personalities shining through her writing. The main characters both had demons that they had to fight and seeing them come together was inspiring. The love scenes suited the characters involved. They flowed from the story rather than standing apart from it. The secondary characters in this novel were quite entertaining. Each was uniquely developed and everyone served a purpose. No one was simply a name on paper. Everyone in this story was realistically portrayed within their role in the story and in society as a whole. It was a refreshing change.
This was a quick, vibrant read that I had no trouble finishing. It packs an emotional punch and leaves you content with the couple in question yet hanging for more.
Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Out From Under is book one in Selene Chardou’s Lovers Duet Series. This was a really great read and it had all of the elements that are required when combining rockers and bikers. The characters were original; it was hot, steamy and had an awesome plot. There was an edge to story and it had many twist and turns that had you eager to finish in order to see how it all panned out. This is the first book that I have read from this author and I liked her writing style a lot. I always appreciate a good dual point of view; it’s nice to be able to read both sides in one story. I cannot wait to read book 2, In T0o Deep.

Loved the characters in Out from Under. They developed well throughout the book. A book essentially about secrets and betrayal involving Linx a rock star and Trista who at 18 has grown up in the biker community.
Trista is due to leave for University when tragedy strikes and turns her world upside down. She has to move location where she meets up with Linx, a bass guitarist.
You'll have to read the book to find out what happens, the trials and tribulations, the strength and vulnerability they have to endure to see if they can achieve a HEA.
Full of tension and soul discovery a first class read, oh and let's not forget the steamy sex thrown in for good measure.

AI absolutely loved this book! Out From Under is the first book in the Lover’s Duet series. It is so much more than a story about bikers and a MC club. It’s a story about freedom, a daughter trying to find where she fits in and a family’s betrayal and secrets. Then Selene Chardou throws in a Rock Star and some steamy sex and you have an amazing story of unconditional love with drama and suspense that will keep you guessing!
You fall in love with Trista and Linx right from the beginning. Trista Lennon is bright, sassy and ready to leave her life in Pine Bluff, Nevada behind her. Right before she is to leave for Stanford University, a family tragedy occurs shattering her world. Her life is turned upside down and she moves out to California to live with her cousin, Talia, the lead singer for the up and coming rock band, Winters Regret. Lennon (Linx) Carter, isn’t the typical rock star. He is dark, brooding, serious and would rather stay in the background. After a failed marriage, he wasn’t looking for love but also didn’t like the loneliness he felt between the stage and his real life.
Trista and Linx are both strong people, but they have a vulnerability about them that you immediately want to fix. Their journey to find happiness is very emotional and they need to heal each other’s heart so they can move forward with any type of normalcy. You will love the sensitivity of this rocker and how he protects Trista from her past and wants to be everything to her future!
There are many twists and turns throughout this story and the suspense sucks you in and you can’t get enough. Although it ends with some drama, I didn’t feel it was a typical cliffhanger where you have to wait to find out if they ever get their HEA. As a continuation of the suspense and drama that Trista’s family has created, I am looking forward to continuing Trista and Linx’s journey to healing, peace and finding happiness within themselves and with each other.

4.5 Stars from me!
Selene has become one of my favorite authors. Her story writing ability was just amazing too me and I was drawn into her books from when I first read Falling Into Lust. But as much as I enjoyed that series, this review isn't about them. This is about the spin off book, Out From Under.
Right off the bat, one thing that I did enjoy was how Selene set this book up. Instead of just jumping into the story at the halfway point she gave us a lot of background information. While we were introduced to Linx and Trista in the previous books, we didn't know a lot about them. That is taken care of in this book on many levels.
Trista's story was one that brought tears to my eyes at some parts, and made me want to hit someone at other parts. The things that she had been through in her life was just amazing, yet she was still pushing forward with her life. She shows a lot of courage and strength during the course of this book.
Linx was just.. Linx? He seemed like your typical rock and roll star, but we were able to learn about the real him, the man behind the rock star persona. Being able to find out what had happened in his past that caused him to be the way he is now was just a great thing to uncover. The things that Linx did do to be able to help Trista showed the compassion that he does have, but tries to keep under covers.
The way that this story ended up going, I didn't see coming. Trust me, I was upset that I was so caught off guard, but it was an amazing story. I completely enjoyed the ending and I couldn't agree more with how Selene wrote this book.
Once again, Selene blows my socks off with another great book and I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out!
