Meet the Author

Kate Hewitt has been writing creatively since she was five years old. She wrote a lot of angst-ridden poetry in high school, and then moved onto writing and directing plays about the meaning of life while in college. After her first child was born she began to write short stories--the perfect amount of words to complete during nap time. After selling over 200 short stories to various women's magazines around the world, she started to write for Harlequin Mills & Boon, a long-held dream. She has written over 20 romances for Harlequin Presents, and has been both a RITA and Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice finalist. She has also written several historical novels for a UK publisher. After living in both Yorkshire and New York City, she now resides on the remote coast of Cumbria with her husband, four children, and a Golden Retriever puppy.

This was refreshing, even though there were relationships there was no sexual content. We need more of this type of books. I agree that the editing left something to be desired, I would still recommend this book. Story line was realistic. And who hasn't made boo boos in their speech, no matter how well spoken they are.

I did not expect all the story lines to tie up satisfactorily before the pages ran out, but the author did a great job with really good characters. Wouldn't mind meeting them again in another book or two.

A really cute, short story about three women facing new life challenges. It did feel a bit rushed and a bit crowded because there were too many story lines given the length. Molly's story was interesting but not given a lot of time so it fell flat. Lynne and Jess were lovely, but again not enough story. If the book had been twice as long perhaps the story would have been richer. I still gave it 3 stars because I really liked the characters, just wished there was more story.

Very romantic and well put together story. I really enjoyed this book but I do have to say there are quite a few editing errors!

Sweet clean story. Even though nothing was left hanging in the end, I wished more of the stories were more in depth. (ljb)

This story, although written pretty well, needs serious editing. It would make the book much more enjoyable to read.

This book reminded me so much of Nora Roberts recent writings. It is very well organized. There was enough suspense to keep it interesting. It is a must read for a dreary day as it puts sunlight into your day.

Beautifully written, defining lives of women uncertain of their future and facing trials head on. Love is in the air, but nothing rough or unsavory. Good, clean entertainment that makes me want to buy the next one.

A good, clean read. It's clear, not skipping back and forth til it's confusing to follow. It could really happen and is an enjoyable read. I know women who like it. I might just see if Kate Hewitt has written others.
