Susan Salluce's Out of Breath is written with raw emotion that will hold you captive to the end. Her multifaceted characters draw you in. Both Seth and Alyssa brought baggage into their marriage that creates struggles between them. She worries about their two little girls, Daisy and Nevaeh, because of Seth’s drug abuse. On the heels of regaining Alyssa’s trust after Seth promises to stop using they’re dealt a shattering blow. Everything points to his guilt. How can she trust him now? Her childhood friend, Greg, is more than ready to step in and take Seth’s place. Can Seth and Alyssa’s marriage survive tragedy? Can Seth regain Alyssa’s trust when she’s full of fury, distrust, pain, fear and anxiety? Be warned! This book is not for the faint of heart. (Language)

This book has it all - from tragedy, suspense, heartbreak, gut-wrenching pain all the way to renewal, restoration & joy. But not in the way you'd expect. Written by a professional therapist with a unique insight in the counseling field, you will get a very personal behind the scenes picture of the human struggle to grieve. Susan brings each one of the characters to life through raw emotion and brutal honesty. I strongly recommend it!
