Overview

What is the biggest problem in your life? This is the question Alejandro asked Morgan. Her answer, probably shared by millions of Americans, was "paying student loans". This book describes alternatives for beating the challenge of school debt and finding the freedom that many dream about.

The examples in this book cover a wide range. Some ideas may sound simple and well-known, while others may sound incredibly extreme or weird. As with any complex problem, no solution fits all. Our hope is that you can find here the idea that matches your style and your possibilities.

Meet the Author

Alejandro Peláez Arango came from Colombia to the United States 10 years ago. The young Electronic Engineer had travelled all the Americas delivering training for Motorola when he had the opportunity to move to the Chicago suburbs, where the company headquarters were located. He obtained his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) and after a while decided that the five months of snow of the Windy City were too much for his tropical nature, so he moved with his family to Atlanta, Georgia, where people don't have to shovel, but just wait at home until the white enemy melts.

Peláez is a passionate educator, and through his life has delivered classes at many levels, including high school, college and corporate training. His Engineer mentality gives him a taste for clarity and accuracy, while his business background helps him focusing on the things that bring value to people. He currently works for Motorola Solutions as an Instructor and recently started his own company, which produces games and educational tools for children.

I really did not learn much from this book, just the plain obvious which is pay your loans as soon as posible and dont fall behind. The links at the back where more informative than the book itself, and those links are free. I recomend Zero Debt for College Grads, is more informative and at a good price.
