Judith O'Shea is focused on her work too. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she makes do in a small studio apartment in Chelsea, wondering how she will salvage a livelihood in a dying field. Career motives take a back seat when she finds herself falling hard for the enigmatic Carmen Delallo.
For Carmen Delallo and Judith O'Shea, falling in love proves to be the easy part. Separated from Carmen by miles, economic class, and a duty to care for her family, Judith won't allow herself to imagine her life fulfilled. And Carmen, whose secret, unrequited love for her married best friend has compelled her to devote her life to her work, must break both addictions before her love for Judith can flourish.

There are few books that bring out true emotions. This book is one of them. The story line is clever, funny, and likeable. KG brings the best out of her characters by exposing bother their weakness and their strengths. This book is a must for any library.
This is the first boiok that I have read by KG MacGregor and I have to say that I will be buying her other books. I recommend this book to anyone.
