Overview

Sequel to Dark Horse "It's hard enough with two people. Throwing a third into the mix is? I don't know, doesn't it seem like we're asking for trouble?" It hasn't been easy, but horse trainer Dan Wheeler is beginning to build a new life for himself, finding his place in California with his lovers Evan Kaminski and Jeff Stevens. When things are going well, it's spectacular: there's affection, humor, and passion. But things don't seem to go well all that often. Dan continues to struggle with the loss of his previous lover and sometimes doubts that he even deserves to be happy; Evan is jealous of every rival for Dan's attention--including Jeff; and Jeff worries that he's too old for the younger men and wonders if he should bow out completely. Despite his resolutions, Dan has grown attached to the other two men, but he's not sure that's enough. He knows that it hurts to be together--he needs to decide whether it would hurt even more to be apart.

Great love story.    Some of the disagreements and misunderstandings hurt a little,   but due to their love for each other,  it all
worked out for a good ending.   I do recommend that you read "The Dark Horse" first.

    Great read

This is the follow up to Dark Horse. It continues immediately where the other book left off, no missing or elapsed time. I truly enjoyed it. It is a love story not a sex book. Wasn't real crazy about the very end, but each story has to end. Loved it all in all.

    highly rec- in love

    - with the writer or the guys, I'm not sure. Bought the first book in the "series" 'Dark Horse' just for the threesome sex- wasn't expecting much more, but I love these two books. The books may never be considered great literature, but there is so much to love about the characters and the writing itself. Two things- I hesitate to call them complaints- 'Out' starts with a secondary character's "voice", and I feel like Dan and Evan's voices are not distinct, but other than that... Dan's relationship issues/thought process seem authentic to me. Some excellent repartee between characters. Puppet-Chris! Well worth the price. It's one of those books I hesitated to pay so much for when I'd never heard of the author. Now it's a book I can't put down, even as I am trying to make it last.
