Donna Vander Griend's book is touching, thoughtful, and wise. She's a master of the telling detail, of setting up seemingly incoherent scenes, then tying them together with a sentence or two at the end. The stories are unpredictable, but they're not whimsical - they have each been carefully constructed with solid insights in mind. This book is best read not all at once, but over a month or two, reading one or two stories a night before going to bed. A real treat. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
