Meet the Author

Eleanor Lincoln Morse is a novelist (Chopin's Garden and An Unexpected Forest). She received an award for best fiction from the Maine Writer's and Publisher's Alliance in 2008, and in the same year, a Gold Medal from Independent Book Publishers for best regional fiction in the northeast. She lives with the poet and novelist, John Moncure Wetterau on Peaks Island off the coast of Maine. She and John lived in northern India for five months and then returned for shorter visits; during the last trip to India, Eleanor recorded the stories of the two girls who are featured in Over the Mountains.
