Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
“As a clinician who has worked with adrenally fatigued patients for more than fifteen years, this is the book I have been waiting for! This is a concise, practical guide for truly healing the adrenal glands. Not only does Kathryn Simpson provide an excellent in-depth section on the causes and symptoms of adrenal fatigue, she also clearly outlines the optimal diet, supplements, and herbs that can help reverse this condition. If you feel fatigued or burnt-out, follow the steps outlined in this guide and you will change your life! This is definitely a book I will recommend to my patients and to anyone suffering with this all-too-prevalent condition.”
—Robin Marzi, RD, nutritional consultant

“After years of treating my patients with traditional therapies, I had the good fortune to meet Kathryn Simpson. After reviewing her extensive research and anecdotal experience, I decided to give hormonal treatment a try with my patients, and the results were amazing. Degenerative disease and even conditions like MS, fibromyalgia, and lupus responded to treating adrenal fatigue with bioidentical hormones and diet and lifestyle changes. Anyone with an inflammatory condition or disease should have their adrenal function tested. All it takes is a simple blood test.”
—William B. Van Valin, II, MD, Chief of Staff, Emeritus at Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital

Meet the Author

Kathryn R. Simpson, MS, was an executive in the biotech industry when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Research led her to discover that her symptoms were caused by multiple hormonal deficiencies—including low adrenal and thyroid hormone levels. She resolved all of her debilitating symptoms by rebuilding her adrenal function and supplementing low hormone levels.

Simpson received a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and a masters of science degree from the University of Southern California. She founded a specialty hormone clinic to treat hormone imbalance and diseases such as multiple sclerosis, lupus, and fibromyalgia. Today, it is dedicated to ongoing endocrine research and education. Simpson is CEO of Cerulean Pharmaceutical, which researches and develops therapies for the treatment of endocrine-related disorders. She is author of The Perimenopause and Menopause Workbook, The MS Solution, and The Women’s Guide to Thyroid Health, and lives in Los Olivos, CA, with her husband, Robert, and three sons, Tyler, Kyle, and Myles.
