    Definitely Worth Reading

    Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result. Over and over I tried ignoring my anxiety and yelling at myself, but things weren't changing. Reading this book was something new for me and was well worth it. I was really surprised at how many times the book mentioned very specific thought patterns that were the exact same as my own. I think the book is written well and organized well and I feel like I have tools now to better recognize my anxiety and overcome it. Depending on your level of anxiety you may need additional resources (explained in the book) to help you succeed in overcoming your anxiety. But for me, this is exactly what I needed at this time.

    Very thorough book

    This book is an excellent synopsis of how to treat social anxiety with cognitive behavioral therapy. Might be used well in conjunction with individual therapy. Delves into exactly what social anxiety is caused by and ways to change thinking patterns and behavior. It doesn't say much about medication, which for some people might help in conjunction with this book. However, it is an excellent, easy-to-read first book on the subject. The author is gentle, knowledgable, and encouraging, and this book is well-worth the money for such good information.

    Extremely helpful

    Is my anxiety cured? No. But im in a much better state of mind now than I was before. I recommend this to anyone looking to overcome social anxiety.

    Great book with info to relate to...some of the examples were dead on...i would also suggest reading it twice..

    This book is very informative and has already helped me tremendously in recognizing and coping with issues I have been having. I would definitely recommend this book.
