Overview

Following the execution-style killing of a prominent Outer Banks citizen, local crime-writer Harrison Weaver becomes a suspect in the slaying. To clear his name,
Weaver launches his own investigation, which he knows is a risky thing to do.
But then there is another murder . . . and another. Weaver realizes he is in a deadly cat-and-mouse game with the killer, where he is intended to be the mouse.
As the killer continues to stalk him, it becomes chillingly apparent that a showdown is inevitable, a showdown that could leave Weaver as dead as the other victims
. . . unless he can beat the killer at his own sadistic game.

"Joseph Terrell knows the Outer Banks-its geography, its quirks, its people and their foibles. This series is well conceived and well written. And a smart,
savvy combination of who-done-it and police procedural. A welcome new entry to the Southern mystery tradition."

—Kathryn R. Wall, author, the Bay Tanner mysteries

    Overwash of Excitement

Having read Joseph L.S. Terrell's other great mystery novel, "Tide of Darkness - The Lost Colony Theater Murders", I was looking forward to further adventures of Harrison Weaver. "Overwash of Evil" was exactly what I was waiting for. Set once again in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Harrison is drawn into a well crafted series of events that will leave readers hanging onto the edge of their chairs. Mr. Terrell stages his mystery novels with an indepth description of the picturesque scenary of the Outer Banks. One is right at home here even to the point of feeling like a native to the streets of Southern Shores or Manteo. Grab a cup of coffee and be prepared to sit a spell while enjoying another great Harrison Weaver adventure. "Overwash of Evil" is his best one yet, but don't overlook "Tide of Darkness" as it is an excellent lead into what will become a great mystery series. I'm looking forward to riding shotgun once again with Harrison Weaver in future novels from Mr Terrell. Hopefully, soon? I've got a pot of coffee brewing...
