For a teacher of ESL, such as myself, the dictionary is fine. But for a student, it is unfortunate that with every single entry, the student must look past the BrE. Even worse, some entries that are indeed just as American as British are labeled BrE, meaning that this edition is for learners of BrE only. With so many copies that can be sole at a profit, why has the American version, with American entries, first, then the BrE entries no longer available? I have had to apologize numerous times to my students about the format of every single entry they look up, after having had touted the OALD so much, it was a big disappointment, especially at the price, considering the number of copies that can be printed due to high demand in America.
