    great but not good!

using OED2-whether the book or CD- you will ask yourself, Why do I have to go through many obsolete definitions and illustrations to learn about a word? You're not gonna understand half of the illustrations that this dictionary boasts about since they belong to Old or Middle English. What are the names of the books, dates, and even the page numbers for? If you are an English language scholar, then you may need and appreciate this dictionary. But if you want to have a good dictionary to use as a dictionary user, this is not what you should buy. It is not by any means user-friendly. You will pay a lot of money for things you don't need at all. The best and most user-friendly big dictionary is Webster Third.
