I enjoyed this book! It's a typical whodunit written in a sci-fi atypical manner (Does that even make sense?). LOL Okay, getting back to the book, it is fast-paced and the action keeps on rolling. It is easy to see that the authors had fun writing this book. Several times, especially towards the end, I was "sitting on the edge of my seat" awaiting the next outcome. I truly believe you'll be doing the same thing if you read this book. Even if you typically don't read sci-fi books, try this one. I'd bet you a year's worth of gas that it will leave you wanting more (and there IS a sequel, too, but you have to move on to a paperback to get it)! I've just started the sequel called The Fifth Man. I hope there are more books written by these co-authors. They've got to be good!!!!

A well written thriller set in the near future. Oxygen is a well written, fast-paced novel which grabs you early and never lets go. Highlights of the book include the excellent character development, the religious theme woven nicely but not obnoxiously into the story, and the many technical details of a potential mission to Mars. I write thrillers and mysteries myself, and am always looking at who might have hidden motives. At one point in time or another in OXYGEN, I think I pretty much suspected every character of something. An unreserved five star rating.

One of the greatest WhoDoneIt's I have ever read! The first sentence in the book has the main character fighting for life and it never lets up. As soon as one disaster is ALMOST under control, here comes a worse one! Half way in you will suspect all the main characters of being a saboteur. Further in you will suspect all NASA employees. The ending is a twist you could not possibly see coming. Well written, believable characters you identify with. I stayed up late every night until I finished this book. I kept thinking their situation couldn't possibly get any worse. It got 10 times worse. Again and again and again and ... Just read the book, you'll see what I mean.
Read the appendix, the authors have web sites with more info.

Overview
Valkerie Jansen is tough, beautiful, and has an uncanny knack for survival. But that doesn't explain why NASA picks her to be part of a two man, two woman crew to Mars -- or does it?Bob Kaganovski, the ship's mechanic, is paid to be paranoid -- and he's good at it. After a teeth-rattling launch, Bob realizes that his paranoia hasn't prepared him for this trip. He can deal with a banged-up ship, but how's he going to survive the next five months with HER just a flimsy partition away?
Halfway to the Red Planet, an ...
