Given common perception it's suprising and relieving to note that this album demonstrates that ozzy is a genius. Great music and very artistic and profound lyrics reminicent of, but better than those of sabbath. Metal meets poetry.

Perhaps I'm alone here, but I found Ozzmosis to be one of the greatest albums by any artist. It is a mix of Ozzy's Sabbath style metal, along with slower and more mellow son

This album is truly underrated. Allmusic.com gives it a 2 out of 5, but has of the 10 songs listed 3 as their picks. Most albums with 4 1/2 songs don't even have a pick, but this album has 3: Perry Mason, I Just Want You, and Tomorrow. All of them are great songs. In fact I used to laugh at the mention of this album, but once I heard Perry Mason I knew I was wrong. I Just Want you is one of the most touching songs I've ever heard, and that Ozzy sings it with Zakk playing great guitar on it only adds to its value. No this isn't Tony Iommi, Randy Rhoads or Jake E. Lee, but it does have Zakk Wylde who possibly his best guitarist period. If you liked Black Sabbath and some synthesizers you will like this album. If you liked Randy then you'll like his protege (Zakk). And if you liked Jake E. Lee then your standards are low enough that this will blow you away!

There are ten songs on this album, and six of them are very good. Ozzy has made significant improvements in his music over the years. This album shows a more artistic and profound side of Ozzy Osbourne that should up his status as a major musical force. This album displays Ozzy as a musician, not the bat-biting, no-holds-barred warrior that so many of his fans idolize. The music is really beautiful on some songs, Ozzy is capable of making real music (yet he has not gone soft!). Old and new fans alike should buy this album, they will not be disappointed.
