Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

Fifty-five years ago, a teddy bear first seen on a London store shelf became the inspiration for, first, a gift and, then, a children's classic that has delighted tens of millions of youngsters in at least thirty languages. With this picture book, furry little Paddington comes alive, offering his company to a new generation of little boys and girls who cherish lovable creatures. (P.S. It's not too soon either to tell fans new and old that the much-awaited Paddington movie will be released on December 12th. Paddington stars Colin Firth as the title character and Nicole Kidman as Millicent.)

Meet the Author

Michael Bond began chronicling the adventures of Paddington Bear in A Bear Called Paddington in 1958. Fortunately, bears don't need much encouragement, and Paddington has since filled the pages of fourteen novels, a variety of picture books, and many other projects written for the young at heart. Paddington's mentor lives in London, England, with his wife, Sue, and a guinea pig named Olga da Polga.

R. W. Alley has illustrated a number of books featuring Paddington Bear, including Paddington Bear All Day and Paddington Bear Goes to Market. He lives in Rhode Island with his wife and their two children.

Zoë B. Alley is the author of There's a Wolf at the Door and There's a Princess in the Palace, both illustrated by her husband, R. W. Alley.

Cute and very enjoyable edition with the bonus scrapbook of Padd

Cute and very enjoyable edition with the bonus scrapbook of Paddington's adventures on his trip from "darkest Peru" to London. My storytime kids ate it up.
