Bushwacker's Wilderness Journal
If moving water is something new to you [this] is an excellent introduction. Many of the routes are suitable for novices.
Thunder Bay Chronicle-Journal - Linda Turk
[Callan's] writing has the same qualities as all good travel writing: the reader enjoys his stories for their own sake... But if you are planning a canoe trip, you'll appreciate his detailed maps and annotated route itineraries.
Simcoe County The Explorer - N. Glenn Perrett
Considerable information for interesting canoe trips... numerous color photographs complement the informative text and easy-to-read maps.
