Meet the Author

John Michael Greer is the Grand Archdruid of the Ancient Order of Druids in America and a widely respected writer and teacher. He is the author of numerous articles and ten books, including Learning Ritual Magic and The Druidry Handbook. He lives in Ashland, Oregon.

Clare Vaughn is a longtime beader who currently makes Pagan rosaries and holds frequent workshops on making and using prayer beads. Clare is an experienced ceremonial magician and a practioner of plant-spirit magic, as well as the co-author of Learning Ritual Magic. She lives in Ashland, Oregon.

    Obviously I'm interested in creating pagan prayer beads (rosaries) for myself and others. This book not only explains their purpose and goes in depth about the various styles prayer beads can take, it even gives step-by-step directions on how to create them, ideal for those who are unaccustomed to beading. John Michael and Clare often use the first person in their examples to help you connect with the purpose behind the specific rosary they're discussing. The only thing I would ask for from this book would be colour pictures. The black and white ones allow you to count the beads mentioned, but you don't get a very good idea of the visual power these things have.
