If anyone is familiar with the "Great Books of the Western World" then they are more than likely familiar with Mortimer Jerome Adler as well. Mortimer J. Adler was the Chairman of the Board of Editors of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, Director of the Institute for Philosophical Research, and Honorary Trustee of the Aspen Institute. He was also the Honorary Chairman and Co-founder of the Center for the Study of Great Ideas. This book is excellent reading for those who are interested in education or if you are just a fan of Mortimer J. Adler. I highly recommend anything by this author.
