Highly Recommended - One of Agatha's Best!

What is the Pale Horse? A spooky old pub or something much sinister? What is the connection between the three old ladies who own it, and the death of an eldery priest? Mark Easterbrook, with help from Ginger Corrigan, is determined to find out. And if they do, who is actually behind the scenes? One of Christie's best, a tantalizing whodunwhat.

One of Dame Agatha's five favorites

And for good reason, too. The local priest, Father Gorman, is called to a dying woman's bedside one foggy night. She gives him a list of names and her last words are, 'Stopped...It must be stopped... You will...' However, on his way home Father Gorman is coshed on the back of the head. When Mark Easterbrook teams up with Katherine 'Ginger' Corrigan, they uncover much more then they bargained for. An especially original and clever mystery with an even cleverer solution. I must say I guessed the killer (I have been a fan for about two years, after all), but that was all. Mrs. Ariadne Oliver was good, too. :-)

5 stars if H.P had been in it !!!

I would have given this book 5 stars if Hercule Poirot had been in it. IT would have made a lot of difference. An inn called Pale Horse exists in a small town where you can get a person out of way with the use of er.. black magic. In the same town a priest is violently murdered with a cosh on his way out of the house of a dying woman who talks about there being a lot of wickedness around. A list of persons is found from the body of the priest and M. Easterbrook sets on the trail of the killer or killers? Find it out yourself. AS usual a baffling end. You will feel foolish i assure you in the end. You will say 'O I almost guessed it.'

    Best Christie book so far

This book is a nice change from Christie's usual style. Loved it.
