On yesterday evening, I found myself with a desire for a slice of pizza, but did not want the typical delivery style which is laden with the extreme calories, excess carbohydrates and gluten.  So I referred to my Kindle reader and rummaged through the book, “Paleo Bread” which I had recently purchased and stumbled across the most delicious lower calorie, gluten free pizza crust recipe ever!  In addition to this awesome pizza crust, the book has and endless amount of satisfying rolls, muffins and even a jalapeno cornbread recipe that are all a part of a Paleo lifestyle.  This book is crammed with over 75 “to die for” recipes, but it is also an excellent resource for a Paleo lifestyle and its effects on ones overall health.  Some of the improvements include, but are not limited to weight loss, improved digestion, allergies, autoimmune disorders and heart health.  The author lets the reader know about the startling harmful effects that processed foods have become in our society and makes you aware of the fact that with Paleo Bread, one can actually eat a greater volume of food while taking in fewer calories.  However nice it was to have a potpourri of recipes and common knowledge of the Paleo lifestyle, the most invaluable piece of information in the book to me was the list of alternative ingredients that can be used in conjunction with Paleo breads or without.  The book also served as a coaching method for anyone serious about Paleo eating and inspired me as much as any self help book I have ever purchased.  With this one, Rockridge Press deserves two thumbs up and a slice of my Paleo zucchini bread!

Wow, has this book come to the rescue for those who cannot tolerate any gluten in their diets! I am not among that group, but I have avoided the Paleo Diet because one cannot have any bread. Well, this Paleo Bread recipe book solves that dilemma and allows you to eat many different types of breads using healthy alternates such as almond flour, coconut flour, and ground flaxseed. It also explains the Paleo in brief and gives some tips on implementation of the diet and recipes. Love it!

For anyone thinking about beginning or longtime Paleo dieters this book is exceptional. Bread is one of the things that many have a hard time giving up. This book offers great easy recipes for not only bread but pizza dough, muffins and breadsticks as well. Excellent tips and ideas for following Paleo too.

Newcomers Welcome Did I say newcomers? Because everyone should check out the Paleo Bread recipe book. If you are new to gluten-free cooking, though, you'll love the helpful nature of the book. After all of the recipes, the book includes tons of useful tips for living gluten-free! I love that it had recipes for sweets, too (and PIZZA dough!)

The recipes contained in this cookbook cover things like sandwich loaves, quick breads, and flatbreads. I am excited about the Coconut Poppy Seed Bread myself. They are a little complicated and best suited to someone already familiar with baking; someone who knows the difference between yeast breads and sweet breads, for example. Also included is a discussion of the paleo diet, tips for baking with paleo ingredients, and what foods are allowed on a paleo diet.

After reading this book, I was convinced to give the Paleo diet a go. Using these recipes, I can still enjoy things I like such as pizza, muffins, or my favorite around this time of year, pumpkin bread! All the recipes sound really good. The book also talks about health and why being Paleo is important. It provides ideas to help create a successful journey while being Paleo.

Finally, a cookbook that uses a staple ingredient: bread! It’s so refreshing that Rockridge Press understands bread is essential in most meals and although health plans typically ask you to cut it out of your diet, the Paleo diet ENCOURAGES it!  While addressing health risks like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular health, Paleo Bread: Gluten-Free, Grain-Free, Paleo Friendly Bread Recipes helped me make a delicious cranberry and seed bread. Now it’s not so grueling cooking a gluten-free meal for my roommate.

This book gives a great introduction to paleo diet and how to make breads that are gluten free. As you know making your own food is always cheaper that buying it premade, so when you go over to a more  expensive diet like the paleo diet it is always hand to be able to make some of your own food.  To make  your own paleo bread seems like a simple idea but then you realize it might be easy to find a large  number of recipes for breads that do not have wheat in them. The book talks about the diet not just being a fad, but being a way of life that pushes good health. The book digs into all aspects of the Paleo diet, focusing on recipes for breads, and those recipes run the gamut from jalepeno cornbread, to coconut bread, to chocolate banana muffins.
