I've read a few paleo diet books and I'm disappointed in most of them. Most are either too complicated for a beginner like me or if it's a beginner book, all the author wants to do is up-sell me to his other books and health programs instead of giving me the information I paid for.
All I want is a simple overview of the paleo diet, how it works, and why it is a healthy way to lose weight and improve my overall health. I also want a set of recipes that I can actually make for my daily meals. I don't want to make meals that require 10+ ingredients. That's too tedious and I know I will be discouraged if there's too much work. Buying a lot of ingredients can be costly too!
What I love about Ashley's book is she's to the point and her recipes are easy to make. Not only that, I can tell she cares about her readers and isn't trying to sell me anything I don't need. She really wants you to understand the benefits of the paleo diet and whether you are a candidate for the paleo lifestyle.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who's looking to live a healthier life and want to burn some fat during the process.

As the title states, this is a great book for Paleo beginners!
It's very challenging to leave behind the tasty carbs, the sweet sugars, and starches and base your diet on lean meats, vegetables and nuts.
Ashley Tate understands how difficult this challenge is because she went through it herself. The process wasn’t easy. After all, my generation grew up listening to our parents telling us to eat more carbs and starches so we can grow better and stronger.
She begins the book with basic information about the Paleo diet and its benefits. Then she gives you a simple plan on how to incorporate the Paleo diet into your daily meals. The key with this approach is to take baby steps and have confidence that you can do this. The next thing you know, half of your diet is made with Paleo recipes.
This is what I like most about Tate’s book. She recommends simple recipes that I can easily prepare in my kitchen. While I want to change my diet, I do not like to spend an hour mixing 10+ ingredients to make a meal. This is where Tate’s previous struggles shine. She knows it’s hard changing a diet so she helps you take it slow and one step at a time.
You can feel that she wants you to succeed and that she wants the best for you. After all, the world is a better place if everyone look and feel wonderful inside and out. I’m on my way there.

This is a short helpful book that will help everyone's health. As a society, our health is deteriorating at a staggering rate. If our country keeps consuming unhealthy foods and not pay attention to what we eat, future generations are going to have a lot of health problems that no magic pills are going to help.
Ashley Tate was once an overweight young lady. She thought she had no chance wearing anything below size 12. That is until she found out about the Paleo diet. At first it seems intimidating but Paleo simply means to eat natural real foods and avoid processed foods that are filled with chemicals and additives. That's all she did and things changed slowly for the better. She started feeling great about herself. She doesn't have to sheepishly look around when shopping for her clothes.
It's easy for a fit or skinny person to tell you what to eat but sometimes, it's not that easy. Fortunately, Ashley has been there before, which is rare in the health industry. And knowing that she had the same trouble as I'm currently having gives me the confidence that I need to overcome my weight problem.
Ashley's book gives me a plan on how to achieve my goals. Her paleo recipes are also delicious, which makes it very helpful to maintain a paleo diet.
I love this book. I love Ashley's story. I can't wait until I have my own success. I know it will come as long as I follow Ashley's instructions. Wish me luck!

A simple diet for success.
If Ashley Tate has a gift, it is how literally down to earth she is and you can clearly see her personality through the pages. She explains in simple terms the long-term benefits of a Paleo Diet and sets up a really simple plan for you to follow.
By keeping to a simple diet consisting of lean meats, nuts, fruits, and vegetables, you'll feel and look healthier. You'll also shed some serious pounds, especially around the abdominal area. Tate's recommendations aren't unrealistic nor complicated, and requires no exotic ingredients or crazy exercise routines. While this is more of a life-style change than a crash diet, it will eventually eliminate your cravings for all the bad food that causes so many health problems.
As a someone with a gluten allergy, I love how the recipes are naturally gluten free. I also enjoyed sample meal plans and recipes and how I can prepare myself mentally for the challenge ahead.
It was truly inspiring and I can’t wait to start looking and feeling better by eating like a modern day caveman, err, cavewoman. I highly recommend this book to those who are looking to live a healthier style and feeling great.
