LEPPER is a curator of Archaeology at the Ohio Historical Society, Columbus, Ohio. DENNIS STANFORD is the director of the Smithsonian Institution’s Paleoindian/Paleoecology Program and curator of several archaeological collections at the National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. MICHAEL R. WATERS is the director of the Center for the Study of the First Americans and a professor in the Department of Anthropology at Texas A&M University.
