Zu diesem Zeitpunkt hatte ich erstmalig die Idee über Palliativpflege in der Geriatrie zu schreiben und nun habe ich das wahr gemacht. Meine Arbeit beginnt mit einer "Einführung in die palliative Geriatrie", damit sich jeder vorstellen kann, was damit gemeint ist und was alles mit der Palliativpflege in der Geriatrie zusammenhängt. Dabei habe ich erst bemerkt, wie weitläufig dieses Thema ist und so habe ich auch noch über die Therapien und die Rehabilitation geschrieben und zusätzlich einen kleinen Abstecher in die aktivierende Pflege gemacht. Den Großteil meiner Arbeit habe ich jedoch den psychischen und körperlichen Beschwerden hochbetagter Menschen gewidmet, welche ich durch eigene Beispiele veranschaulichen wollte, was mir hoffentlich gelungen ist. So habe ich die wichtigsten psychischen und körperlichen Symptome beschrieben, denn auf alle konnte ich nicht eingehen, das hätte den Rahmen dieser Arbeit gesprengt. Anschließend finden Sie, liebe Leser, die Auswertung meines Fragebogens zum Thema "Palliativpflege in der Geriatrie", mit welchem ich die Situation in der Praxis darstellen möchte.
