The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1 is the second digital mirrorless interchangeable lens camera using the recently developed Micro Four Thirds System, and the first Micro Four Thirds camera to include HD video recording capability. Micro Four Thirds has the same sensor size as the Four Thirds System but replaces the complex optical path needed for the optical viewfinder with an electronic viewfinder displaying a live view; this allows for smaller and lighter lenses and bodies. The GH1 was announced at the 2009 Photo Marketing Association Annual Convention

    A waste of thirty-five bucks

The Panasonic GH1/GH2 cameras are feature rich with a manual that's written for engineers, not photographers. There's not much out there to help - either in print or on line. If you're looking for better information on how to use the GH1 or GH2, this is NOT the book for you. Written like a thesis, it gives you the history of the Panasonic Corporation, the hisotry of and general information about the DSLR and Micro Four Thirds, and not much else. The press releases from Panasonic are more instructional than this book - and they're free. Don't waste your money. Wait till something better comes along.
