    Visually divine

I'm a visual person and this book was such a treat. I build web pages and was looking for something inspiring. Even though this book is more print related, it can certainly be translated to the web. I love the 40+ pages that break down color families. An example: red-- dynamic, sexy, stimulating, exciting, provocative. Multiple examples of products and ads are given for each color. In the same manor, color combinations are also broken down...serene, earthy, mellow, spiritual, powerful,... I could go on and on. I know there are other color/color combination books out there, but the examples in this one are just...divine.

    The Bible of Color

I run a graphic design agency, at the presente time I own 2 copies, my first one purchased 5 years ago, and two years later had to come back for another piece, because sometimes we were fighting over it. If you are serious about graphic design this is a must have, Totally recomended.

    A must-have color guide

I first became familiar with this book while working as a production artist and found it invaluable in identifying color moods and color harmonies that allow designers to quickly express the gut feeling of a design. When I went back to school for my Masters degree in graphic design I referred back to this book on almost every project as a foundation for my color choices. This book does an excellent job of removing the randomness from color decisions so that they no longer become simply a matter of opinion, or trend, but a strategic design choice. This should be a permanent fixture in the library of any serious designer.

Color Thesaurus for the Chromatically Challenged

I am an author as well as entrepreneur and have long researched color combinations for presenting information and creating a recognizable corporate identity. If you're one of those people who 'know what you're looking for' but can't articulate it, this comprehensive guide has every major color combination you could possibly want, conveniently grouped by the 'unique color proposition' (like USP, unique selling proposition), you're trying to convey. (If you already have a color scheme selected, you should check it out here to see whether it unwittingly conveys connotations you don't want associated with your company.) If you're a graphic designer (I'm not), you can plunk this book down in front of a client with some suggestions and save both of you a lot of aggravation and miscommunication. I've researched just about every 'color guide' out there and have found this one by far the most helpful. It's simple and easy to use, practical without a lot of the questionable theorizing other authors on color seem to need to include.
