About the Author

Judy Clevinger is a wife, mother, grandmother, and a teacher of more than 30 years. As a child, she lived deep in the mountains of eastern Kentucky long before there were four-lane highways. Judy got her love of storytelling from her grandmother, an avid storyteller and her daddy who used character voices as he read to her. God has led her to write about hard topics like death, bullying, and disabilities. She hopes her stories will bring comfort to her audience and encourage them to tell stories of their own. Born and raised in Appalachia, Simon Stapleton has had a pencil and paper in hand since childhood, and eventually went on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, specializing in graphic design and illustration. As a visual artist and storyteller, he draws his inspiration from the natural world, in all its wonder and mystery. (Oh, and he's Judy's nephew!)
