A SWEET ROMANCE: Prequel to the Paradise Series––this is the first––a sweet romance where you get acquainted with Kate Middleton. After years of dreaming her photos would someday make her famous, she dropped out of the University of Michigan and into an unfortunate marriage. Now, a month after graduating from Kendall Art School, she gets the chance of a lifetime to assist Grant Goodriche, a famous photographer for People and Fortune Magazines. She jumps on it. And who wouldn't? A photo shoot aboard a yacht on Little Traverse Bay doesn't come along everyday. But rather than go directly to the job, Grant gives her a tour of his hometown: Petoskey, Michigan. And like Kathy Lee, her favorite media personality, Kate is not only "Smitten with The Mitten,” but the rough and ready Grant Goodriche and his friends.

She also draws from memories of growing up in Northern Michigan and spending summer vacations at the family cottage. For updates, to say hello, or comment, visit the author’s blog at: gigigalt.com. I liked the story. I don't think the "hit and run reviewer" realizes this story is part of a trilogy. As someone who grew
up in the area, I found reading about places I patronized as a kid very interesting. If the author had intended
the story to be a travelogue it would have been listed as such. And as far as the apostrophe's I didn't see
any errors and I teach English. Perhaps the author has corrected them. Even so, this simple little free book
delighted me, and is lovely to look at.

    Very short. Choppy. Travelogue.

Not even a good descriptive travelogue. More of a history of the shops in Petosky. I quit reading after seven pages because I'm just not interested in who used to be who. Also, the author needs to review the rules regarding use of the apostrophe.
