I thought this was poorly written, possible the worst book I've read in my life. The author understands the written word about as well as my 7 year old.
This was a great book. A tropical location, sexy, smart main characters, plenty of sexual tension¿not to mention action and suspense¿what more could you ask for from a romance novel? This book was a quick and exciting read, you won¿t want to put it down! I totally recommend it. The hero is as smart as he is sexy¿a marine archeologist who speaks 4 languages¿and the heroine is an intelligent, beautiful woman who has lost her memory but only knows that someone is trying to kill her. I wish I could tell you more about her but that would ruin the suspense! You¿ll be on the edge of your seat trying to figure it out! The secondary characters were well-developed and interesting as well. Don¿t pass this one up! A great summer read!!
Marine archeologist Dr. Luke Fleming is known as much for his looks as he is for his work. Currently, he hides on PARADISE ISLAND so he can concentrate on a time sensitive, top secret effort for the Feds and avoid all the ladies who want him. When he finds a woman severely sunburned and suffering head injuries, a reluctant Luke provides her care. When the trespasser regains consciousness, she claims to not know who she is or why she washed up on the beach. Though she may be in danger from an unknown enemy or simply an accident victim, Luke mistrusts the castaway he dubs Jade. He thinks she is simply trying to seduce him, something to his chagrin he knows that she can easily do, as he desires her very much. PARADISE ISLAND is an exciting contemporary romantic suspense novel that will thrill the audience with its non-stop action. The story line is fast-paced and the suspicious Luke is quite the hunk that women believe him to be even if his distrustful nature can become tedious. Still readers will find Gena Hale¿s tale quite a tale. Harriet Klausner
