Death comes to Lizzie's workplace the way an expired yogurt might come to one of your co-workers on a Tuesday morning. It happens; it is dealt with; the day moves on, and perhaps a joke is cracked. Our young heroine sees the world through glasses tinted not rose, exactly, but at least salmon or mauve.
