Twisted Family With A Twisted Past

This series must be read in order. The first book is Paradox - The Angels Are Here. The second book is Paradox - Progeny Of Innocence (bk2) (The Paradox Series). This is the third book.

These books are awesome and I don't want to give away any spoilers so I will keep this brief... Obviously the worlds are connected but not in an easily understood way. Angela is some sort of supernatural guardian sent to keep Grace in hand so she does not destroy the world. Her mother Kate seems to be an ordinary human while her father is now in Wade's body watching over her. Juliette is somehow inhabiting her and she somehow is experiencing a bleed through of Juliette's past live which causes her to doubt her sanity at times. Clair is Cleona and Cerubus' daughter and is being clued in while she recovers from the attack she really should have died from... And the surprises only get better and more convoluted as time goes on!

This is a very original and inventive vampire/angel series with more mysteries and intrigues than I could have possibly imagined! The romances ate always getting twisted and subverted hat ever juncture so I would call them a plot device instead of a deciding factor. The world is ever changing with new adventures and plenty of action around every corner! There is never a dull moment with this series :) I love it and am completely hooked! I can not wait to read Paradox - Equilibrium (Volume 4) (The Paradox Series)! Think I will go start that now... hehe!

***This series is suitable for adult readers ONLY!!!

Another great book! The ending of course has me waiting for the next installment. Patti Roberts wonderfully weaves the past and the present together seamlessly.

Bound by Blood is the third book in the Paradox series.

In this instalment the reader is further drawn into the story of the Grigori and the Bulgardi, and the tribes that make up the Ancient World, and is taken back in time to live through the Judgement and learn why the Grigori were exiled into the bowels of the underworld.

We learn more about Angela who up until this point has been in the background, as she retells the legend of St Valentine. Is she really there just to support Grace as she comes to terms with the changes that are going on around her or does Angela really have another role to play?

We are also privileged to experience some of the previous lives of Damon and Juliette as Grace continues to have more vivid dreams of the lives of Juliette, and I for one found my heart breaking each time their lives were torn apart once again.

Patti seamlessly blends the story of the Ancient World with the current, as Grace learns that her friend Clair is actually descended from a powerful witch, and we are drawn further into the lives of Abaddon and Cerberus and the ever aptly named Weasel.

I found Bound by Blood and the continuing story of the Ancient Worlds entirely mesmerising and can't wait for book four - Equilibrium.
