Sam Taylor
In the space of but a few days, I had read a book more moving than the wind. This book will grip you at every turn, it's just one of those books that you will not want to put down. The tales are just fantastic, at points I felt like I was reading fiction even though my mind refused the idea. . .

I completely enjoyed traveling back in time with my father; not only experience his childhood through his stories, but also learn more about my step-mother through the retelling of her childhood and the family interactions. The stories of childhood innocence wrapped up in a true love story make "Parallel Lives" a must read for lovers of history, laughter and romance. Be prepared to laugh out loud and sigh quietly as you make your way through the lives of Robert and Virginia Taylor.

Robert Taylor's book held my attention so well I finished it in one afternoon. Even when you think you know someone you really only see the high and low points of their lives. Thank you, Robert and Virginia, for sharing the meat between those points

I have just finished reading Parallel Lives and want the world to know that I have never been so moved by anything in print. I have spent many hours in laughter & tears reading about Robert & Virginia's blessed lives and thank them for making this possible.
Terry Portillo
Populated with fascinating and often quirky characters, Parallel Lives proves that truth is indeed stranger than fiction. So treat yourself to a cup of tea and a warm reading of Robert’s memoirs, spiced just right with tidbits from his wife’s Mexican-American life. You won’t be disappointed – that is until you finish the last page, close the back cover and realize it’s over.
